(MA) Boss Hog is an adorable little pup whose life was recently turned upside down. Though he has spent his early years as an owned dog who was very loved, Boss Hog’s owner sadly passed away. As the owner’s family was unable to care for him, Boss Hog ended up in the capable care of Great Dog Rescue New England. Now living in a foster home, Boss Hog is patiently waiting for the furever family that will help him start the next chapter of his life.

Boss Hog is a 3-year-old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix pup, who is referred to by his foster as a “Chiweenie”. He is on the larger side for a Chihuahua mix weighing, as of 9/06/24, approximately 16 pounds. Boss Hog has a short coat length, which is listed as being black, red, chestnut, and orange in color. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Boss Hog is also house-trained.
According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Boss Hog is an adorable and fun-loving pup who gets along with everyone he meets. He is truly wonderful with any person he meets, and especially so if belly rubs are on the table. Since he grew up in a home with other dogs, he is very comfortable playing with them at his foster home. He also does great with cats. Though he loves attention and sitting on laps, he can also entertain himself easily with toys.
