(MA) Meet Tank Dixie, a young pup who has been through much hardship in his young life. This Mountain Cur and Boxer mix pup’s rescue story began as a stray just trying to find enough food each day to get by. When he was eventually picked up by someone it seemed his luck may be changing. Unfortunately, that person kept him for a few weeks before deciding “it was too much of a bother to have another dog.” Tank was then brought to the vet to be euthanized.
Thankfully, when Great Dog Rescue New England’s vet heard what was happening, they intervened and took Tank in. He was treated for heartworm, vaccinated, and neutered while with the vet, and has since been entrusted to a foster family to keep him safe. He has now been waiting over ten months for his furever family.
“Tank is a really great guy that almost lost his life because of an uncaring person. He deserves a family where he will be loved and adored.” – Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder
More Information On Tank Dixie
Tank Dixie is a 4-year-old Mountain Cur and Boxer mix pup who weighs approximately 46 pounds. He has a short coat length which is listed as being yellow, tan, blond, fawn, white, and cream in color. That’s a lot of color, but in my opinion, he mostly looks light brown with some black. Tank is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered.
