A hospitality business with interests in Connecticut and Massachusetts is positioning itself for growth with the appointment of 11 key managers as equity partners, according to the company.
Scott Smith, a president and CEO of Max Hospitality, said he believes the move is “tremendous.”
“It gives us a much broader reach. A lot of them are the faces of their restaurants,” Smith said. “The (eight) senior partners are getting older. This is really an investment in the next generation of management.”
Smith said the restaurant group is expanding, poised to sign a new lease, but that information isn’t yet able to be disclosed.
The new partners are: Shawn Jones, general manager, Max’s Oyster Bar ; Chelsea Lozier, general manager, Savoy Craft Beer and Pizzeria; Elisabeth Guarino, general manager Max Fish; Megan Smallidge, general manager, Max’s Trumbull Kitchen ; Matthew Burrill, executive chef, Max’s Oyster Bar ; and Christopher Sheehan, executive chef, Max Downtown .
Also, Brendan Sullivan, general manager, Max Downtown; James Stone, general manager, Max Burger, Longmeadow, Mass.; Robert Peterson, Chef/general manager, Max A Mia; Jill Aniskoff Waller, director human resources, Max Restaurant Group; Steve Michalewicz, executive chef, Max Catering and Events.
