New neighbor coming to Dartmouth: Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell

DARTMOUTH – State Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell and her family are moving to a new home in Dartmouth to start 2025.

In an email to supporters, Campbell wrote, “My husband Matt, my sons Alexander and Aiden, and I have made the decision to move from Mattapan to Dartmouth on the South Coast in the new year. This decision was not an easy one, but after significant prayer and meaningful discussion and reflection, we ultimately decided that it was the best decision for our family.”

Campbell, 42, is married to Matthew Scheier.

The family is moving to a five-bedroom Dartmouth home, which they purchased for $865,000, according to property transfer records.

She said the family is “excited to begin a new chapter on the South Coast,” though they will miss their “beautiful neighborhood of Mattapan, a community we love dearly.”

Office in New Bedford’s Bank of America building

She noted that she will be closer now to the Attorney General Office’s New Bedford regional office, which is located in the Bank of America building at 700 Pleasant St. downtown, but still planned to regularly commute to her Boston, Worcester and Springfield offices.
