Two types of Wicklow Gold cheddar cheese variants sold in Ohio and four other states have been recalled due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The recall involves Wicklow Gold’s 5.2-ounce packages of Cheddar Nettle & Chieve and Cheddar Tomato & Herb, with sell by dates of June 2, 2025. The distribution was limited to certain stores in Ohio, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Listeriosis symptoms
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there are a range of symptoms for listeriosis which can last from days to several weeks, depending on the severity of the illness. Symptoms from this bacterial infection may start in a few hours or within 2-3 days after eating contaminated food. The more severe forms could take three days to three months to develop, the FDA says.
