Bitter cold temperatures fueled by whipping wind gusts will continue Thursday, though some relief is on the way for the Bay State. Light snow showers were underway in Eastern Massachusetts early Thursday morning, but National Weather Service forecasters say the snow will result only in minimal accumulations. The snow was expected to last through mid-afternoon.
