Chilly Cloudy Friday Brings Rain and Wet Snow to Michigan Including Traverse City, Marquette, and Grand Rapids as November Weather Returns

MICHIGAN — Friday is looking a lot more like November across Michigan after several unusually mild days. Temperatures settle back into a typical early November range, with most of Lower Michigan reaching only the mid 40s to lower 50s and much of the Upper Peninsula staying near the lower 40s. Clouds will be common, showers remain possible, and parts of northern Michigan could see rain mixed with wet snow.

Upper Peninsula Stays in the Lower 40s With Rain or Snow Showers

The Upper Peninsula will be one of the chilliest parts of the state on Friday, with highs mostly near the lower 40s. Ironwood, Marquette, and Sault Ste. Marie all fall into the worst category for outdoor conditions during the day.

Parts of the U.P. may see lingering rain or snow showers before conditions slowly improve. Residents heading out should plan for damp roads, cloudy skies, and a raw feel to the air.

Temperatures here will stay in the mid 40s for much of the day under mostly cloudy skies. Drivers should be cautious on bridges and overpasses where wet snow could briefly make roads slick during the morning.

Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Southern Michigan See Cloudy Skies and Showers

Grand Rapids, Detroit, Croswell, and Niles fall into a bad category for outdoor conditions on Friday. Highs in these areas will mostly reach the upper 40s to lower 50s, with clouds and a chance of showers through the day…
