DETROIT – A stray dog is on its way to a new life after a Michigan State Police trooper rescued it from a freeway, police said. On Wednesday, the Detroit Regional Communication Center received a call about a dog running along I-96, according to a news release from MSP Second District. Trooper Justin Boczkaja responded to the scene to search for the dog.
