Showers and storms to hit Northern Michigan on Tuesday, blue skies to clear

Lots of blue sky Monday but that will change as a round of rain and a few thunderstorms will arrive across Northern Michigan later Tuesday into early Wednesday. TUESDAY (MAY 7): Tuesday should start with some sunshine, but with an approaching system, we will have increasing clouds throughout the day. Our next system looks to arrive later in the afternoon and early evening. This will consist of a cold front that will bring in a line of showers and embedded storms Tuesday afternoon/evening into the overnight Wednesday morning. The threat for any severe thunderstorms will be downstate and south of Northern Michigan. Temps will range from 58-74F and will most likely be the warmest day of the week. SE wind 10-20 mph.
