Road construction will slow this week, given Thursday is the Fourth of July, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Michigan roads will be smooth sailing. Between Sunday, June 30, and Saturday, July 6, more than 40 new lane, ramp, and road closures are scheduled to begin, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
