Federal funding aims to help Michigan officials tackle youth homelessness

LANSING, Mich. – National and state housing officials gathered in Lansing Friday to discuss new funding to help end youth homelessness in Michigan. According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, or MDHHS, about one-third of Michigan’s teens leaving foster care will experience homelessness before their 21st birthday.
