Michigan’s electric utility services have been under scrutiny following the release of audit results which highlight significant reliability issues. The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) initiated the audit, employing The Liberty Consulting Group to conduct this in-depth analysis. The utilities in question, DTE Electric Co. and Consumers Energy Co. are the primary providers for approximately 4.1 million customers in the state. With the commission’s findings now public, it becomes evident that both utilities have substantial room for improvement.
