Seasonal feel to the next few days before cold air returns to Mid-Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Today and tomorrow will feature that true November feel before transitioning into a more winter feel by the holiday weekend.

Waking up this morning some areas saw pockets of fog and drizzle with temperatures in the upper 30s. They will continue to warm into the upper 40s with mostly cloudy skies. Heading into tonight temperatures remain warm into the upper 30s to low 40s. Light rain showers could move in ahead of our next system.

Mid-Michigan will be on the warm side of this low-pressure system allowing for rain and warm temperatures to continue into Monday. Rain remains light and doesn’t look to bring much to the area. Temperatures warm into the low 50s for the day on Monday but quickly fall back into the low 30s for Monday night into Tuesday morning. It is possible that we could see a dusting of snow waking up Tuesday morning, especially on cooler surfaces.

Our focus then shifts to the holiday weekend with a system that could bring snow and colder weather into the area. Right now the system is still over the Pacific Northwest and will eventually move across the country to us. The models are showing mixed forecasts, some show dry conditions others have us seeing some rain and snow. Over the coming days, we will iron out the forecast and have a better look at what this system will look like for the holidays. So stay tuned for more information!
