The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has extended the enforcement deadline for the REAL ID Act. You must have a REAL ID by May 7th, 2025. The agency extended due to the disruption that the COVID-19 pandemic caused, which allows Michigan residents more time to get a REAL ID-compliant identification!
