MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – For more than 30 years area 4th graders have made a field trip to Jack McGowan’s farm to take a walk through history.
From historical weaponry to Viking campsites to thread spinning, History Fest gives thousands of kids the chance to get hands-on with the history of the world.
“We just want them to take away a sense of their past and we fully believe that kids absorb far more when they are having a great time, when they’re laughing and when they can go back and tell their family what they saw and they’re teaching somebody else in their family,” said one of the event’s organizers Julie Hiniker…
