MAN ARRESTED AFTER POLICE CHASE IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA

(Pine County, MN) – A man is in custody in northeastern Minnesota after threatening law enforcement and leading officers on an 8 mile chase. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office received a warning on Tuesday about a missing man possibly having a mental health crisis. Deputies found the man’s car on Highway 70 and approached it, but the man said he had a gun and would shoot if police shot at him. He drove into Kanabec County, where he was taken into custody and a gun was found in the car. The man was taken to the hospital for evaluation following the confrontation.
