The signals for snow in the region that we discussed last week have come to fruition, but any accumulating snow will likely be reserved to North Dakota and perhaps northwestern Minnesota. The rest of Minnesota is set for a soak of a Monday and Tuesday.
“Today into early Monday will be nice, but rain arrives from the south Monday afternoon and lasts into Tuesday. Rain could be heavier at times, especially Monday night,” says the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities.
“Colder air arrives Tuesday night bringing a chance of light snow through Wednesday. Accumulating snow possible in western MN but little to no snowfall is expected elsewhere.”

How much rain will fall? The models are indicating between 0.75 and 1.25 inches.

Rain will begin to change over to a rain/snow or all snow mix by Wednesday. There could be a cosmetic dusting of snow over much of Minnesota, but the accumulating snow looks to be reserved for North Dakota. Perhaps an inch or two could accumulate in northwest Minnesota.
