Cold temps and low wind chills will affect our Sunday in a chilly way but keep snow at bay

WEATHER STORY: Arctic high pressure has taken over our region with cold air temps, low wind chill factors and sunny and dry conditions. The high is keeping a very large snow storm to the south of our region. Folks in the middle U.S. from the leeside of the Rockies to the Atlantic Ocean are expecting big snow. We will stay sunny, cold and dry for most of the week ahead. The Canadian air has caused the National Weather Service to issue a Cold Weather Advisory for most of Minnesota and Douglas County in Wisconsin. A Cold Weather Advisory is the new name for what used to be called a Wind Chill Advisory.
