Scattered showers are likely throughout the day today so have that rain gear ready if you are heading outdoors. Temperatures will stay around 70 all day. Tonight there is a Slight Risk (Level 2/5) for severe storms as the cold front finally moves across South Mississippi. Strong winds and an isolated tornado or two are the primary threats with the strongest storms rolling through the area between midnight and 5 AM. Monday morning the rainy and stormy weather comes to an end and cooler, drier conditions settle in. Mardi Gras looks like a beautiful day withy mostly clear skies and afternoon temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Cold mornings are expected in the middle of the week with morning temperatures around 40.
