SLIDELL, La. ( WGNO ) — A couple from Mississippi was arrested after police said they stole from several stores in Slidell.
According to the Slidell Police Department, the two were busted for shoplifting from 12 stores in the Fremaux Town Center.

A photo of the stolen goods shows items like tech gadgets, shoes, cosmetics accessories and more.
Responding officers said the woman tried to get away but was captured. She faces a charge of resisting an officer by flight.
The two were also charged with felony shoplifting and possession of narcotics.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
