Mississippi receives more than 67,000 absentee ballots ahead of 2024 election

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Mississippi has received 67,802 absentee ballots for the 2024 November General Election.

As of Monday, October 21, the Statewide Election Management System (SEMS) reported a total of 86,525 absentee ballots requested and 84,636 absentee ballots sent.

ADDITIONAL REMINDERS

  • A sample ballot may be accessed on the SOS website .
  • Mississippians who have requested an absentee ballot may track their ballot utilizing the My Election Day ballot tracker .
  • The in-person absentee voting deadline is Saturday, November 2.
  • All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (November 5).
  • The Resolution Board can begin processing absentee ballots at the opening of the polls on Election Day (7 a.m.).
  • County election officials can tabulate ballots at the closing of the polls on Election Day (7 p.m.).
