New Orleans and Southern Mississippi on Alert for Minor Coastal Flooding as Warm and Unsettled Weather Persists

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a coastal flood advisory which remains in effect from tonight at 9 PM until tomorrow morning at 10 AM CST. According to the forecast, minor coastal flooding is anticipated across select areas in southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. The NWS warns of potential issues including “flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.” Local residents and those planning to travel should stay vigilant and be prepared for the conditions ahead.
