Bruce: FIRST ALERT ISSUED as rain chances ramp up Wednesday with a strong storm or 2

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Today has been a nasty day with cloudy skies and steady drizzle across southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Keep the umbrella around as rain continues into the evening. Temperatures will remain in the 60s with the cloud cover and the rain. Wednesday a cold front approaches bringing some heavier storms with a risk for severe weather. Expect some heavy down pours that could lead to street flooding and gusty winds. A few storms have the potential to develop some hail and there is also a small risk for tornados.
