NEW ORLEANS, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Two Mississippians were killed during the terror attack in New Orleans.
“Please join Elee and me in praying for Mississippians Nikyra Dedeaux and Matthew Tenedorio who were tragically killed during the terrorist attack in New Orleans. Mississippi will never forget them,” said Gov. Tate Reeves (R-Miss.).
Zion Parsons, of Gulfport, had been celebrating New Year’s Eve on his first night on Bourbon Street when a vehicle appeared and plowed into his friend, Dedeaux, 18. He said Dedeaux had dreamed of becoming a nurse.

Tenedorio was “tragically shot and killed in the devastating terrorist attack in New Orleans,” a GoFundMe page verified to NewsNation reads.
“Matthew was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose laid-back spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around him,” the description reads.
Tenedorio was an audiovisual technician for the Caesars Superdome, located in New Orleans, according to the page.
