WENTZVILLE, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Dozens of families in a Wentzville mobile home community are being evicted as a plan to rezone their neighborhood into a commercial area awaits a final vote.
The impacted families live in a mobile home community along Highway Z, south of Interstate 70. Families were served eviction notices by the land owner, CastleGate LLC., at the end of September and were told to move out by December 1.
A rezoning application sent to St. Charles County shows the land owner plans to turn the roughly 18-acre section of neighborhood into a shopping center, with plans to eventually replace additional mobile homes with townhouses…
