SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – While we’re still in the middle of winter across the Ozarks, our recent warm-up may have some looking toward spring and what to start planting. While various trees are available to plant, some are considered an invasive species and a nuisance. A nuisance that the Missouri state government wants to do something about: it’s also a nuisance that Kelly McGowan, horticulture specialist with the MU Extension in Greene County, can vouch for at the Springfield Botanical Gardens.
