The American Red Cross sends 16 volunteers from Missouri to Georgia and the Carolina to assist those impacted by Tropical Storm Debby. Three of those volunteers are from the Central and Northern Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross, including Jolene Davis, from Montgomery City. She’s been with the Red Cross since 2012 and has deployed several times, in response to hurricanes, tornadoes, and fires. Davis said she started her journey with the Red Cross after she retired from her job as a teacher, and it’s been a perfect fit.
