600-pounds of butter used to create cow sculpture at 2024 Missouri State Fair

SEDALIA, Mo. (KOAM) — The Missouri State Fair began this week in Sedalia with the fair theme for 2024, “ Summer’s Best Story .”

Midwest Diary have their traditional butter sculpture on display at the Gerken Dairy Center.

Ander Weis , of St Louis, Mo. created the butter cow sculpture for the 4th year. “ Lost in a Dairy Tale ” feat. a little girl reading a book to her calf who is sporting big glasses.

It was created with 600-pounds of butter. After the fair the unsalted butter is put into 5-gallon buckets and will be reused next year.
