A campaign is launched in response to a change in Missouri’s gender identity documents. In early August, the Missouri Department of Revenue removed Form 5532 from the Department of Motor Vehicles website, and all DMV offices threw away paper copies without giving any notice. The form allowed Missourians to request a change of the gender markers on their driver’s license with the signature of a medical professional determining their gender.
