(KMAland) — Strong to severe storms are likely throughout much of KMAland later today. The National Weather Service has placed a good portion of southwest Iowa and southeast Nebraska at a slight risk for severe weather, with portions of northwest Missouri at an enhanced risk–with a 100% chance of storms developing in the risk area. Weatherology Meteorologist Kara Foster tells KMA News the greatest risk for severe weather appears to be later in the afternoon and into the evening as cooler weather moves into the region.
