Missouri Gov. grants state employees extra day off after thanksgiving

(KOAM) – Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed Executive Order 24-15 today, granting state employees an additional day off on Friday, November 29, the day after Thanksgiving.

This decision continues the annual tradition under his administration.

In a statement, Parson expressed gratitude to state workers, emphasizing the value of family time. He also congratulated Governor-elect Mike Kehoe and his wife, Claudia, as they prepare to take office.

Parson reflected on his six-year tenure, noting achievements in stabilizing state government and improving Missouri’s economy.

As he prepares to step down, he extended warm Thanksgiving wishes to state employees, thanking them for their service.
