SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3)-On Wednesday, Missouri law enforcement will start ticketing people for using their phones while driving. The Siddens Bening Hands-Free law requires drivers to have both hands on the wheel. Under this law, drivers in Missouri cannot use their phones while behind the wheel. However, they can use hands-free devices like Bluetooth or Apple Car Play. The hands-free law was enacted in the summer of 2023, but Missouri law enforcement will fully enforce it on Jan. 1.
