Public, senators look for ways around Nebraska Governor’s refusal of EBT funds

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – In December, Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen decided not to take $18 million in federal money to feed kids while school is out. It’s a decision that some state senators are trying to get around. Senator Jen Day of Omaha brought the possibility back to life in the Nebraska Legislature.
