Bill would shorten Nebraska early voting periods; Douglas County Election Commissioner says it would be ‘crippling’

LINCOLN, Neb. – A bill in the Nebraska Legislature would cut back on early voting periods in the state. Blair Sen. Ben Hansen’s Legislative Bill 1211 would reduce the number of days of mail-in and early in-person voting in general and primary elections from 35 and 30 days to 22.
