Lawsuit filed seeks to stop vote on future of Nebraska’s school voucher program

LINCOLN – A years-long fight over the future of Nebraska’s scholarship or voucher programs to offset the costs of a private K-12 education could be headed to court. Latasha Collar, the parent of a Douglas County student receiving what the State of Nebraska called an Opportunity Scholarship to attend a school of her choosing, sued the state on Thursday.
