Sunny skies for the next seven days as we enter October across Greater Nebraska

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – As we finish out the month of September and start the month of October, it will actually feel like late August. That’s because we are in a dry, sunny, and warm weather pattern for the next week that is more typical of late summer. Highs well into the 80s will be common as we have complete sunshine almost every day. There will also be a couple of breezy days, but overall the winds will not be that bad. The main reason that prolonged sunshine will be over us is that the high pressure systems cannot progress to the east until later this weekend. We will remain sunny, warm, and dry because of the remnants from Hurricane Helene hitting the Southeast, and really battling with the surface features affecting us. We remained sunny for Saturday with highs in the low-mid 90s.
