Dreary day ahead; Warm this weekend before a cool down into next week

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Good Morning! We had a few showers roll through the area overnight leaving us with some damp conditions this morning. Mostly cloudy skies will continue throughout the day as well as scattered showers. There will likely still be some drizzle or mist around today that doesn’t amount to much where the heaviest rainfall isn’t occurring. This will lead to a mostly damp day ahead. Some fog will develop as well, mainly in southern portions of the viewing area as a Dense Fog Advisory is in place in north central Kansas until 12:00 PM. Temperatures this afternoon will not warm up quite as much as the past few days due to some heavy cloud cover, but we should still reach the upper 40’s. Heavier showers develop late this afternoon in the eastern half of Nebraska along I-80 and will move south southeast through the evening, including the Tri-Cities.
