NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – A strong cold front is quickly driving south through the area and should be south of our area by mid to late morning. Behind the front, we’ve see increasing northerly winds and colder air come in. The air won’t be arctic, but it will return our area to more of a chill compared to this past weekend. Northerly winds will remain strong at 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 30 to 40 mph possible. Most of the area saw our high temperatures for today earlier this morning. By mid-afternoon, temperatures are expected to range from the mid/upper 10s northwest to the upper 30s/lower 40s south and southeast. For most of the area, skies will be partly cloudy with a mix of clouds and sun. Clouds will increase tonight, while winds remain breezy out of the northeast.
