North Las Vegas Gets a Hot Chicken Spot With a Waiver-Required Spice Level

A building is nearly finished at 855 East Craig Road in North Las Vegas, and coming-soon signs there point to a new outpost of Houston Texas Hot Chicken opening later in 2026. The Nashville-style chicken chain, which got its start in Las Vegas, is bringing its sandwiches, tenders and famously punishing spice levels to the growing stretch of the valley.

Signs Point to a Late 2026 Debut

According to WhatNow, the North Las Vegas restaurant is slated to open at the Craig Road address, with the outlet reporting the building there is already near completion. WhatNow’s reporting indicates the shop will mark the brand’s first location specifically in North Las Vegas, with an opening expected later this year. The report notes that WhatNow reached out to Matthew Rush, the company’s vice president of operations, but he had not responded by the time of publication.

Houston Texas Hot Chicken is a fast-casual chain specializing in Nashville-style hot chicken, per the same outlet’s reporting. The menu runs from sandwiches and tenders to salads, loaded fries and waffles, and the brand’s website describes its chicken as all-natural, never frozen and halal-certified.

From Pandemic Project to Multistate Chain

The brand was founded in 2021, according to the reporting on its North Las Vegas plans, and has since grown into new markets across Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Texas, Utah, Idaho and Michigan. Brian Simowitz leads the company as brand president. Savory Fund’s backing is meant to fuel that growth, strengthen franchisee support and drive national scale, according to Harrington Park Advisors.

How many restaurants the chain currently operates depends on which source is consulted. Harrington Park Advisors describes the concept as having scaled to 11 locations across Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Texas and Utah, while the reporting on the North Las Vegas opening states the brand has at least 29 locations operating in the United States and internationally. The two figures were not reconciled in the available reporting.

What Spice Levels Mean for Diners

For anyone planning a visit once the Craig Road doors open, the brand’s own site lays out the stakes of ordering wrong. Spice levels range from no spice up through a tier called Houston We Have A Problem, which requires a signed waiver before it lands on the table. The brand’s website states that everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients, a detail that applies across its existing menu lineup of hot chicken sandwiches, salads, loaded fries, tenders and waffles…
