Nevada tackles childcare shortage with $1.4M investment in educators training programs

A new project is hoping to alleviate the childcare provider shortage in Nevada. The Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR) is partnering with local colleges to get more childcare employees into the workforce. The programs help make early childhood education more accessible by funding tuition, books, and other costs for those pursuing a childcare career. DETR is helping fund the early childhood education skills certificate programs with a 1.4 million investment.
