Portneuf Medical Center CEO Jordan Herget resigning after accepting job in Nevada

POCATELLO — After dutifully serving as CEO of Portneuf Medical Center since his hiring in August of 2020, Jordan Herget is stepping down from his role for a new job opportunity in Nevada.

Katie Damron, PMC’s marketing and communication representative, said in an emailed statement, “Portneuf Health Chief Executive Officer Jordan Herget has accepted a new role outside the community and will be leaving the organization on Sept. 6. Under his leadership, Portneuf has significantly expanded its capacity and capabilities of healthcare services in the region, enhanced relationships with critical access and rural hospital partners and consistently improved patient safety and quality care — achieving three Leapfrog ‘A’ Hospital Safety grades in the last five cycles.”

While a national search is being conducted for a permanent leader to replace Herget, PMC Chief Operating Officer Nate Carter will serve as the interim CEO following Herget’s departure.

“Portneuf Health is grateful for Herget’s leadership and commitment to our community, and we wish him and his family the best,” Damron said.
