Thunderstorms to Linger in Southern Nevada Before Drier Weather Moves In

Southern Nevada is set to experience additional rounds of thunderstorms today due to lingering monsoonal moisture. The National Weather Service in Las Vegas reports that thunderstorms may bring gusty winds and heavy downpours, though any storm activity on Tuesday is expected to be confined to northwest Arizona.

Despite the moist conditions and atmospheric instability observed earlier today, thunderstorm development was minimal, primarily affecting the eastern border of Mohave County. This limited activity is attributed to a lack of large-scale atmospheric ascent, which has shifted focus to Utah.

A change in the weather pattern is anticipated on Wednesday, bringing drier air that will end this current episode of monsoon activity. This shift will also result in temperatures returning to closer to normal for this time of year.
