The National Park Service at Lake Mead National Recreation Area is urging visitors to stay mindful of park rules to protect both the environment and their own safety. In a recent post, officials highlighted four important reminders:
- Pack Out Trash: Visitors are asked to remove all trash, including broken tents and litter, as it can harm wildlife.
- No Pool Floaties: Pool toys are banned at Lakes Mead and Mohave due to safety risks. Life jackets are required for water safety.
- Use Vault Toilets: These restrooms are available at many beaches, and visitors are urged to use them rather than nearby bushes.
- No Lifeguards on Duty: Swimmers must be aware of their own safety, as the park does not provide lifeguards. Life jackets are highly recommended to prevent drownings.
