Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar urges Nevadans to register or update voter details for the 2024 election. Early voting begins October 19.

Urgent Push for Voter Registration as 2024 General Election Approaches

As Nevada approaches the 2024 General Election, the state’s top election official, Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar, has amplified efforts to ensure every eligible voter is registered and prepared. In a press release issued on National Voter Registration Day, Aguilar underscored the vital role of voter participation in safeguarding the democratic process.

Aguilar’s message carries urgency. “Nevada is a state where every vote counts,” he said. “Registering to vote or updating your registration and signatures helps ensure your voice will be heard and also helps us keep the election secure.”

With early voting beginning on October 19 and Election Day set for November 5, time is running short for citizens who still need to verify their registration status or update critical information. The Nevada Secretary of State’s office is partnering with counties across the state to send voters their voter registration card, along with a signature update form—two key tools designed to streamline the process and maintain secure elections.
