When will Nevada’s mail-in ballots be sent out?
The exact date when mail-in ballots get dropped off at the U.S. Postal Service varies depending upon when each county’s election officials get them completed.
Mail-in ballots could start being sent out on Oct. 9. By state law, ballots can’t be sent out later than Oct. 16.
In general, counties try to get them out a couple days before the drop-dead deadline in case of last-minute hiccups.
Where can you vote early in Nevada and Washoe County?
• Early voting with a paper ballot: If you want to vote early with the paper ballot you receive in the mail, you can simply fill it out and drop it back in the mail.
If you have concerns about the mail system, you can also hand-deliver your paper ballot to either a designated ballot drop box or voting center.
