RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Wildlife advocates have submitted a petition asking for reform for Nevada’s trapping laws and regulations, seeking to better protect mountain lions. The petition was filed by the Nevada Wildlife Alliance, WildEarth Guardians, and the Mountain Lion Foundation, who say that while mountain lions are a non-target species in the state, inadequate trapping regulations result in dozens of lions being injured or killed.
