Nevada voters eligible for Elon Musk’s $1M sweepstakes, but legality is in question

Nevadans could be among swing state voters to receive a life-changing amount of money from tech investment billionaire and richest man in the world Elon Musk. That is, if they sign his petition that he said would protect gun rights and free speech.

However, not long after Musk announced he would be giving out $1 million at random to registered voters in swing states who signed his petition, legal experts began to question the strategy’s legality. On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Justice issued a warning to the America PAC about the sweepstakes, the same day the winner announcements halted on Musk’s America (PAC) websit e.
