A winter weather advisory is in effect for northern Nevada, with snow expected to create hazardous travel conditions beginning this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Elko, the advisory impacts areas including northern Elko County, the Ruby Mountains, East Humboldt Range, White Pine County, and southern portions of Lander and Eureka counties. Snowfall is anticipated to begin at 4 p.m. today and continue through 10 a.m. Wednesday, with up to four inches of snow accumulation expected.
