A Brick Township neighborhood group sought interest from another local town in leaving Brick and being annexed, but their request was set aside at a recent Lavallette council meeting.
The borough council in October set aside a letter penned by Maria D’Onofrio Ferguson, secretary of the Mantoloking Shores Property Owners Association, a civic group that represents the Mantoloking Shores neighborhood in Brick Township. Within Brick’s barrier island portion are several neighborhoods, with Mantoloking Shores representing 310 homes in the northern sector. While the homes there carry a Mantoloking postal address and ZIP code, they are part of Brick Township and residents’ taxes are paid to Brick…
