A winter storm is expected to bring more snow to New Jersey early Saturday morning.
While the storm is not expected to bring as much snow as was seen on Tuesday, state officials are keeping a close eye on the forecast.
Gov. Phil Murphy told News 12 New Jersey that there are currently no plans to declare a state of emergency or issue a commercial truck ban. But he says his team is ready for anything.
“Our state’s emergency operations center will be activated to what they call ‘Level 3,’ which is advanced monitoring beginning at 8 p.m. [Friday.] Obviously, we keep all options open pending how the storm actually moves,” the governor told News 12.
He suggests that residents stay inside Friday night and Saturday morning. Those who must go out should use caution on the roadways.
